We are a family from Latvia, eagerly awaiting the arrival of our second child, a baby girl we’ve named Sarah, due on March 17th. While we are filled with joy and anticipation, we are also facing some financial challenges and health concerns that make this journey a bit more difficult.

Why we need your help:

Due to complications during the birth of our first child in 2010, which was a challenging 24-hour labor, we are opting for a planned C-section for a safer delivery. The mother’s age (39 years) and a painful condition called symphysis pubis dysfunction (SPD) are additional factors that increase the risks associated with natural childbirth.

Currently, doctors are hesitant to approve the C-section, but based on the mother’s condition and experience, it is the safest option for both her and baby Sarah. Unfortunately, the cost of a planned C-section and necessary postnatal care at Riga Maternity Hospital is beyond our current means.

Our story:

We are a loving couple, married since 2006, and parents to a wonderful son who was born healthy at 4,009 grams after years of praying for a miracle. The road to this pregnancy was not easy, but we are overjoyed to welcome Sarah into our family.

The mother is currently on maternity leave from her job as a teacher, and the father is actively seeking work. Despite these challenges, we remain hopeful and grateful for the blessings in our lives.
