Description
We aim to support people with disabilities and their families, as well as children and families facing financial and social hardship. Furthermore, our stated aim is to assist orphanages and children’s homes, and to support institutions caring for children with disabilities.
In 2011, 181,000 mothers and families in our country experienced the shock of having their child admitted to hospital. However much a parent may fear and worry, it is the child who experiences the greatest trauma. The doctors, the hospital, the unfamiliar situation and the pain caused by the illness create a unique situation that triggers anxiety and fear in the child. It is at times like these that parental love and care are most needed. The situation also demands immense self-control from the parent, as they must overcome their own worries and fears, radiating calm and confidence to ease the tension and reassure the child.
