Hello everyone,

we are Alex and Melissa, we are 35 years old and we have been living together for 6 years, sharing the joy of love and the fatigue of coping with the illness that afflicts Melissa and that for the past year no longer allows her to work and contribute to the amount of expenses we have to face on a daily basis.

We are Italian and have always worked in insurance consulting where we met and fell in love. We live in Milan in a rented house and cannot even consider moving to a cheaper location precisely because of the limitations imposed by this unfortunate condition. Both our families are small households that have already done more for us than they could have afforded.

Institutions and the health system pay us all the contributions expected in these cases, but they are derisory amounts compared to the costs of everything they need to care for themselves day after day.

I have to work even longer to meet the needs, taking away that time to spend with her, which has never been so precious.

The amount we are asking for with your help is a vital piece of the puzzle, which would allow me for about 3 months to reduce my work effort and finally have time to spend together; lighten the load and the burden of the cost of medication, transport and specific food we always have to have.

Everything is clearly documented and certified.

If it were up to us, we would invite all benefactors who want to contribute to this cause to dinner. Also because Melissa loves to cook and I can assure you that she is an excellent cook.
