**Let's help Stella (9) get the opportunity she can't wait for**

My name is Leo Askar and I am the father of 9-year-old Stella.

We are a family of six — my wife Kristina, me, and our children: Stella, Lucas, Leona, and Ellena.

Stella is a child with autism spectrum disorder, sensorimotor disorders, an eating disorder, and a number of co-diagnoses. An official assessment was conducted, which determined that she had a level 4 disability. Her daily life is much more challenging than a child should have — but despite everything, she is a warm, gentle, and incredibly brave girl.

As a father, watching your child struggle but not being able to get help in time is something that is difficult to describe in words.

We have been on the waiting list for neurofeedback therapy for 5 years and we still haven't gotten our turn. There are a lot of children on the list, and time is passing — and that's what hurts us the most, because we know how important early support is for Stella's development.

That's why we decided to try it privately:

For Stella, these therapies are not a luxury — but an opportunity. An opportunity to understand the world around her more easily, to cope better with stimuli, and to take small, but for us, huge steps forward.

Our son Lucas also has difficulties — he has been diagnosed with a level 2 cognitive impairment, which requires regular speech therapy, for which we also need to secure funding.

Due to pronounced sensory difficulties, Stella has a hard time tolerating public transport. Every trip is a challenge, that's why we are forced to use the car. Our car is old (year 2003) and often breaks down, which makes it even more difficult for us to go to therapy. If we manage to raise more funds, part of it would be used for a more reliable vehicle so that we can provide her with continuity of therapy.

We are not looking for miracles — just an opportunity to help our children while there is still time to progress.
