Hi, my name's Agata!

My 25th birthday is incoming and therefore I want to open myself up to the support of other people, both the ones I know and the kind strangers. The goal of this fundraiser is to collect enough money to buy the brand new 16' MacBook Pro M4 Pro (14 core CPU, 20 core GPU, 24GB RAM & 512GB SSD disc) as my birthday gift.

Currently I'm editing all of my photos on a borrowed PC. My own laptop is already 6 years old, has a broken battery and cannot stand a few seconds of not being plugged in to the electricity. Even when I cut the number of apps to the absolute minimum, the simplest photo-editing actions take ages to complete. In comparison to that new MacBook the simple AI noise reduction time is cut from 12 minutes per picture to 26 seconds per picture - can you imagine?!

Because of the poor state of my current laptop I cannot take it anywhere to shoot & edit on the spot. I have to get back home to edit it on the stationary PC which prolongates the editing process by days when it comes to gigs outside my hometown.

I started my journey with professional photography back in 2022 with an old and borrowed camera. The kindness of other people helped me when I had to give this one back and another person lent me their camera for the next few months. Those few months passed & I was able to buy myself my first very own camera. I mentioned the "professional" part of the journey, cause the non-professional part started years ago - I love taking pictures my whole life. It was in 2022 when I decided that I want to pursue this path and my love for this kind of art seriously.

The purchase of that particular gear will take me & my photography to the whole new level. I set this fundraiser up cause the price of the new MacBook is 4 times the price of that camera I bought for myself. The possibilities it will open up for me are also multiplied by such!

This hi-tech gear will enable me to edit and publish photos right on the spot which often is crucial in concert photography, especially when working with publications that have 24h turnaround rule. With that MacBook that rule wouldn't cross me out anymore. On the contrary - I would be able to go on tours with bands and artists, I could work with publications on gigs away from my hometown and my turnaround time would get shortened by a few times!

It'd be one purchase that would last and support me for the next few years without the risk of a battery breaking after the warranty, the need to be constantly plugged in or the long waiting time for the simplest actions to complete!

As for the prizes there will be: an opportunity to buy prints of my photos in A4 format (concert. nature, gaming photography prints) or booking me for your event (although that mostly depends on the localisation of said even as I'm based in Poland).
