The shelter is collapsing. Let’s save over 100 dogs!

Description

ROMANIA. A SHELTER ON THE BRINK OF COLLAPSE. 100 DOGS WITH NOWHERE TO GO.

Today we want to draw your attention to one of the shelters in Romania that we got to know thanks to people working locally. A place that is still functioning – but only because someone refuses to give up. Without real support from the outside, this shelter may simply cease to exist.

More than 100 dogs are under its care.

There is no team of volunteers.

There is no financial backing.

There is no systemic support.

There is Monika.

Monika is 76 years old. She recently underwent hip surgery after breaking it while feeding the animals as part of her daily work. The shelter grounds are difficult, uneven, and not adapted, and they require urgent repairs. Despite pain and physical limitations, Monika does everything she can every single day to ensure the dogs have food, water, and at least a minimal sense of safety. Her only help comes from her nephew.

Every day is a balance between “we’ll manage somehow” and “tomorrow everything might fall apart.”

There is a lack of funds for food, medical treatment, infrastructure maintenance, and securing the property. Winter deepens the crisis – access becomes harder, costs increase, and the absence of stable support means that the collapse of this place is a very real scenario, not an abstract threat.

8HYlr6rszfUbafs4.jpgThe situation is made worse by a lack of understanding within the local community. Instead of help, there is often indifference, and sometimes hostility. The dogs and one elderly woman are left to face all of this almost completely alone.

That is why we are launching this fundraiser.

Its goal is not “something extra.”

Its goal is to stop the shelter from collapsing and to enable it to continue functioning.

We are raising funds for:

– food for over 100 dogs,

– basic veterinary care,

– securing and maintaining the shelter grounds,

– real relief for Monika, who is carrying this burden almost entirely on her own.

sXyM9GAjMLvdo7JV.jpgAs you know, we operate in Romania and understand the realities of working in places like this. We know how thin the line is between survival and closure. Today, this shelter stands exactly on that line.

This appeal is not about the distant future.

It is about whether this place will still exist tomorrow.

If you can help – thank you.

If you can share this – that is also real help.

Because time matters here.

We have seen shelters that were on the brink of collapse.

We have seen places where food, medical care, people, and hope were gone.

And we have also seen what happens when many individual people decide not to look away.

Change does not happen through one grand gesture.

It happens through hundreds of small decisions.

One click. One donation. One share.

Every euro is real food in a bowl.

Every act of help is another day the shelter can keep going.

Every decision to “help” means less fear – for the dogs and for the person who is fighting for this place alone.

All of this is in our hands.

Not in the system.

Not in the offices.

In people.

Today we ask you to use your power once again.

Because it truly works.

Thank you in advance for every donation and every share.
