Meet Hafsa -

I used to be an independent woman… and today I live under a piece of cloth.

My name is Hafsa, and I’m a Palestinian woman from Gaza.

Before the war, I lived a simple but ambitious life. I worked in video editing, motion graphics, and AI video creation — a job I deeply loved. My dream was to grow, earn a scholarship, or find an opportunity abroad to show that creativity has no limits, even in Gaza.

I lived with independence and dignity. I had my income, my small home, and peace of mind. I used to open my own door, sleep feeling safe, and dream confidently about the future.

But the war changed everything.

In a single moment, I lost it all — my home, my work, my stability. Now, I live in a tent made of thin fabric that cannot protect from the cold, the heat, or fear.

I still try to work online, but it’s almost impossible. Internet access is limited and expensive, and every hour costs money I don’t have. Batteries die quickly, and charging them means paying even more. My passion for creating is still alive, but my tools and space are gone.

Life has become a daily struggle — food is scarce, water is costly, and even basic privacy no longer exists. Some nights, we sleep hungry. Other times, we wait for charity meals as if they were a new chance to live.

I’m sharing my story to remind the world that we are not numbers.

We are human beings with dreams, talents, and hope that survive beneath the rubble.

Every bit of support helps me rebuild my life, return to work, and keep creating — to prove that in Gaza, even under destruction, people still dream, create, and resist through life itself.
