Hello kind hearted people, I’m Viktor (I go by Viki), a 23 year old freelance artist. For nearly a decade, I have endured emotional and verbal abuse from my homophobic family, simply for being gay.

My Story

When I first came out at 14, my father sometimes forcibly pushed me onto girls and women, shutting the door behind us, as if he could change who I am. He has screamed at me for hours, telling me I cannot be his son and that he would denounce me if I "don't start liking women". 

My mother reacted with threats of self-harm, accused me of stealing attention from her struggles, and repeatedly belittled me, calling me “autistic” and “mentally ill.” That pattern only stopped a few months ago.

Neither my brother nor my sister ever asked me about it. Of course, every now and then, a cruel joke or a slur escaped their lips whenever I dared to "talk back.

I was afraid to date, afraid to make friends,trapped in a life that felt more like a prison than a home. My mental health deteriorated to the point where, today, I only leave the house when absolutely necessary.

The only thing that kept me going was storytelling. Whether it was the first short novel idea I dreamed up at fifteen or now, as I tip back into digital drawing with the hope that, one day, I can bring my stories to life visually through comics.

Today, I live alone with my mother, who looks at me with anger and disgust if I even hint that I might be LGBTQ. After nearly 10 years of bullying and abuse, I am desperate to escape. That is where I need help.

The Plan

With the help of my three closest friends, I am planning to rent a place and start fresh by fall. But I need support to secure food, rent, and basic necessities while I get on my feet in a new city and find a job.

How Your Donations Will Help Me

• €1,500 for Rent

 This will allow me to pay my share of rent for multiple months or cover the full cost for two months based on average prices. Example

• €700 for Food 

Hungary’s inflation is high, so I’ll need to stretch every cent, but this amount will help feed me for around two and a half months. Hungarian prices

• €300 for Clothing

I need to purchase essentials.everything from underwear to a jacket, to start fresh.

• €50 for Hygiene Products 

Soap, razors, toothpaste, and the basics to take care of myself.

My Dream

More than just survival, I long for a home where I can create freely, practice my artistic and storytelling skills, and eventually bring my own comic to life.
