Hello,

my name is Patrick, 33 years old, and I am looking for donations to get my first, large online business of the ground. With this business, I want to help me and my family out of poverty, and create something pretty cool in the video game industry. First, let me tell you a little more about myself, and then introduce my business to you.

My Families Story

Around 17 years ago my family was struck by tragedy, when my father had a stroke that tied him to his wheelchair. After fighting hard for years to get him back to his feet again (metaphorically speaking), he can finally speak again (no more tracheostomy tube in his throat anymore, yay), but still needs around the clock care by my mother and me.

In the meantime, I did the only thing I was always good at: Doing research on the web and coming up with out-of-the-box business ideas. Unfortunately, while I had some success, bad luck and severe anxiety attacks caught up with me, and I never found the energy to get a large idea going and help me and my family to finally have an income that could save us all, and get us out of our tiny flat and living from social security and my fathers small pension.

Until around 3 years ago. By accident, I found a programmer willing to work on one of my seemingly more far-fetched ideas: A platform that allows video game content creators like journalists, streamers and Let's Players generate additional income, by giving away free video game keys.

My Business Idea

Let me briefly explain the concept. If you are into mobile gaming, or if you ever googled for ways to make additional income, you have surely seen one of these "offerwalls" like OfferToro or Freecash, where you can earn in-game currency or a few dollars by trying out new video games, or filling out surveys, right?

It's a million dollar market, and we are creating something very similar, except with a very special reward for users: Video game keys for platforms like Steam, Xbox Connect or Good Old Games.

Users will be able to simply select a game of their choice. We have almost everything, from GTA V to Call of Duty, but also all the classics like Tomb Raider or indie games. Basically everything you can find in a conventional online game store will be available with us.

Then, users will have the choice between around a dozen mobile game offers from our advertising partners and play for a while, or fill out a few surveys. As soon as they have accumulated enough credits, they get the video game reward of their choice. Just like in a regular game store, just you pay by playing mobile games.

Pretty cool, eh? And the best part: Content Creators that send us new customers get around the same commission they would get by partnering with Amazon or other key stores, only the user pays zero dollars with us, instead of 10-50 USD on Amazon for their game.

The concept can quite easily be deployed internationally with very little additional work.

Where We Are Now

So why do I need your help? Basically, my business partner is a full-time programmer for a large bank, and works around 70 hours per week in a very stressful job to provide for his three kids and his ex-wife. Even though he always gives 200% in his work, he simply doesn't have the energy to develop a rather complex platform like ours in his spare time. After investing around 17.000 Euro (around 19.000 US Dollars), we are still only about 40% done, and it doesn't look as if his workload will become less anytime soon.

So, we need to outsource some of the programming to a third-party developer. And that's a rather expensive thing to do: Even a beginning freelancer from overseas will cost something around 5.000 - 10.000 USD per month minimal amount. The rest of the software should be able to be completed in just a few weeks or months, but it will not get anywhere if we don't have at least some budget.

Plus, we will need budget to buy the first stock of game keys to kickstart our platform, as it typically takes 2-4 weeks for the advertising commissions we earn to be paid out, and we want users to receive their rewards very fast when they want to redeem their points.
