PA-Travel - Tourism Agency in the Mekong Delta

Help Us Relaunch Thanh's Agency

Thanh is a young Vietnamese woman living in the Mekong Delta. She has been passionate about tourism since childhood and studied geography and tourism. In 2019, Thanh founded her own tourism agency, PA-Travel, based in Cần Thơ, with 5 full-time employees and 2 part-time employees (@pa_travelct on Instagram and PA Travel on Get Your Guide).

We met Thanh in March 2024 during a four-month trip across Asia, and we had the chance to join her on a guided tour of the Cái Răng floating market. We were immediately struck by her passion and enthusiasm as a guide.

Sadly, Thanh lost her business during the COVID pandemic. She also lost her home and the support of her family, who had relied on her income. Despite these challenges, Thanh has shown incredible resilience. As a mother to a young daughter, Bella, she has worked tirelessly from 4 a.m. to 8 p.m. as a receptionist and English teacher to keep her tourism business afloat, hoping to one day return to living off her true passion.

Thanh offers authentic private boat tours of the Mekong Delta, showcasing the local culture, winding canals, and magnificent landscapes, all set in a beautifully preserved natural environment.

Moved by her story and inspired by her determination, we decided to create this fundraising campaign to help her. Our goal is to raise the necessary funds to help her relaunch her agency and increase its visibility by establishing an office and building a website.

Your support is needed for:

- The creation of a bank guarantee deposit required to reopen the agency (a business operation guarantee fund of 250 million Vietnamese Dongs, approximately 9,000 USD)

- The opening of an office in Cần Thơ City

- The creation and launch of a website (currently costing 500 USD in Vietnam)

- Increased visibility on Tripadvisor (29 USD per month)
