Description
Hi everyone!
I found a kitten on the street that was drooling a lot and staggering. I took it to the vet (the clinic on Bartók Béla út in Debrecen), but as it was Sunday, the out-of-hours fee really drove up the costs. It’s staying overnight at the vet’s now.
It has had two IV drips, a blood test and an ultrasound scan. It has also been given anti-nausea medication.
She is feeling sick, is malnourished, cold, dehydrated and anaemic. Unfortunately, her FELV test came back positive, so it’s difficult to find her a home.
Despite everything, she was very friendly and affectionate.
Only one shelter helped cover the cost of the blood test, but from the others I either received no reply at all, or the usual ‘we’re full’ or ‘no money’. The Buksi association, to whom I sent the invoice, did me a favour by sharing a post on Facebook asking for the money sent to me with the comment ‘Hugó’ to be refunded. They named the cat Hugó.
However, I covered the full 67,500 Ft myself; I can show a transaction receipt from OTP proving the amount was debited from my card, which is why I started this fundraiser, because on top of that there would be further medical treatment or an overnight stay at the vet’s, and unfortunately even this was a huge amount of money for me, but I couldn’t just leave him shivering by the roadside in that condition.
Thank you very much in advance if you can support the rescue of this little cat with a donation of 1 or 2 euros.
