Description
I am asking for help for a family in need with six children, five of whom are of school age, whilst the youngest stays at home with her mum.
The mum is unemployed because no one will hire her as she has so many children; they are not eligible for state benefits, and the mum only receives child benefit, which amounts to €360 a month. They live in a village where there is no gas and no public transport, except in the mornings and afternoons. The father works, commuting to his job, but he earns the minimum wage, which is not enough to make ends meet. The children travel to school every day, and everything is financially demanding: school, school supplies, the after-school club, this trip, that trip... Mum can no longer bear to keep telling the children, ‘You can’t go there, we don’t have the money, I can’t buy that for you...’
That is why I am asking you from the bottom of my heart for your help.
