I’m a young man who needs help so that I can help my mum...

My mum lives in a small flat that belongs to the whole family, so it isn’t hers; she only has the right to use it. She’s looking after her brother, who’s applying for permanent disability benefits. The neighbours are making their lives a living hell... The neighbours upstairs are children, so they get up to all sorts of things in the afternoons.... And the ones next door are night owls and cause a right ruckus all night long... The police have told us there’s nothing they can do and that the only option is for my mum and my uncle to move out. We don’t have enough money even for a deposit on a flat. To be honest, I don’t really have a job, so to speak… I’m on a Randstad-type scheme and they ring me 5–6 times a month; some months they don’t ring at all. Thank goodness I manage to get by in a shared flat when I can afford it, and when I can’t, I live with my mum and uncle on an orphan’s pension, as my dad died about six years ago.

I’d be incredibly grateful for any donation, even if it’s just a few cents… Little by little, anything is possible. Although I’d also appreciate it if you read this and, even if you can’t give anything, you share it… All I want is to make my mum happy and put a smile back on her face!
