Why are we asking for help?

It wasn’t part of the plan…

We wanted to renovate a home to make it safe and cosy for our family. We were confident that, once the work was complete, we’d be able to return to an even more beautiful home.

Instead, things happened during the renovation that made our home life-threatening and uninhabitable.

Our family had to move out, and from one day to the next we were faced with the reality that the house we had intended to be our home could no longer provide us with safety.

We would like to have our home back. However, this will require major repair work and financial assistance.

Unfortunately, given our current financial situation, we are unable to fund the restoration of our home ourselves.

As our house is currently uninhabitable, we have had to move into rented accommodation, so we are now having to bear the burden of both the mortgage and utility bills for our own home, as well as the rent and associated costs for our new accommodation.

In addition, our day-to-day living expenses, the cost of supporting our family and our healthcare costs also place a significant financial burden on us.

It would therefore be very difficult for us to raise the amount needed to make our home safe from our own resources. We would like to use the grants to gradually create the possibility of one day returning home.

We never imagined that we would ever reach the point where we would have to ask others for help. We were confident that we could resolve the situation step by step through our own efforts.

By now, however, we have had to realise that doing this on our own would take a very long time, whilst we would like to create a safe home for our family again as soon as possible.

That is why we are now turning to you for help.

That is why we have launched this fundraising campaign.

Our aim is to use the funds raised to carry out the most essential repairs and make our home safe and liveable again.

Every contribution is a huge help to us. If you’re unable to help financially, even sharing this post means a great deal, as it helps our story reach more people.

All we ever wanted was a safe home for our family. Now we’re fighting to have a place to come home to once again. ❤️
