My little cousin Deng is only 3 years old. A cheerful, curious child who has only just begun to discover the world. He should be laughing carefree, playing, making his first friends and growing up full of joy. But life has presented Deng and our whole family with an unexpected, unimaginable challenge: Deng was diagnosed with cancer.

This diagnosis not only turned Deng's life completely upside down, but also deeply shook the lives of his parents and our whole family. How can such a young child have to fight such a serious illness? It is hard to put into words how deeply this stroke of fate has affected us all.

Since the diagnosis, Deng has been undergoing intensive treatment, which is often unbearable and painful for him. The many visits to the doctor, examinations and therapies are an enormous burden for him and his parents, who tirelessly stand by his side and do everything they can to help him. But the road is long, full of uncertainty and fear.

The costs of treatment are enormous. Medication, specialised therapies, hospital stays and the frequent trips to nearby clinics are almost impossible for the family to afford. They live in Thailand, far away from familiar surroundings and the support of friends and family. The financial burden grows daily, while the hope of Deng's recovery is the only thing that keeps them going.

Deng's parents work around the clock, but the expenses are far beyond their means. Without outside help, it becomes impossible to continue the necessary treatments. Yet Deng's life depends on it.
