Hello, my name is Gabriela Urdaneta. I am 19 years old and, due to my best friend’s current situation, he is unable to raise funds (because of a stupid law in the country where he lives). His mother has recently been seriously ill and, although she has managed to remain stable thanks to medication, we currently need to pay the hospital bill for the treatment, which is $70, although we are aiming to raise $100 or more to help pay for his own medication as well, since he was recently attacked and, as all his savings are going towards his mother’s treatment, he cannot afford to see a doctor himself.

I know you might think this is a scam, but it isn’t; if I could, I would send him the money myself. And although I would prefer not to run this fundraiser, I’m not rich either and can’t keep sending him money. I urgently ask that you please donate, as with that we might be able to pay it all off, and any money left over will go towards food and medication for the family.

My best friend is the same age as me, 19, and suffers from a bone condition that prevents him from exerting himself too much, yet he is the sole provider for his mother, uncle and aunt, who all have disabilities. And due to the situation in the country, they cannot leave to seek a better future elsewhere.

If you wish to donate more than the amount requested, we would be very grateful, and believe me, you would be changing my friend’s life for the better – to one where he can be a normal young adult and not a boy who has to carry more of a burden than he can handle.
