Description
I know who Uncle Zsolti is.
However, this knowledge wouldn’t stand up in court, because even though I know, I can’t prove it. That’s why I can’t talk about it.
It’s a frustrating feeling.
János Látó told his story, from which I realised who he was talking about. However, the lads couldn’t prove it, because how could they? They didn’t even talk about it, nor did János Látó.
Later, I was approached by a boy from Szőlő Street who no longer lives there. He told me a story about the circumstances in which he heard Péter Pál Juhász talking to Aisa about the very same man, Zsolt. Unfortunately, the context was the same as in the previous story. When Juhász realised he’d been overheard, he threatened him, saying he’d be in trouble if he said a word, and rewarded him for keeping quiet. So he kept quiet. He told me this. But he can’t prove it.
A few weeks later, he was approached by a professional who had once worked on Szőlő Street.
During a session with the children, the boy told him about the abuse he had suffered. Uncle Zsolt was the main perpetrator. He clearly identified who the perpetrator was. Unfortunately, he was naive enough to report this to his colleagues at a meeting, including the managers. The next day, the boy was beaten beyond description, banned from attending the sessions, and the boy never saw him again. He told his story, but he cannot prove it.
Three people who don’t know each other. Three independent yet consistent accounts. And all name the same person as the perpetrator.
I believe their stories. But you must know that this is the only basis on which I ‘know’ who Uncle Zsolti is. Legally speaking, I don’t know, because I cannot prove it.
Zsolt is a man of great power. We can tell this from the fact that he managed to keep his identity secret for decades and silenced the witnesses. It is therefore understandable that those who could provide evidence do not dare to do so. Until now, they have had to fear not only the destruction of their livelihoods, but also the authorities. The latter issue may have been resolved with the fall of the government. But they still fear for their livelihoods. If, however, they had a secure financial foundation, they might step forward into the public eye.
There is a social demand for the truth to come out; we must not let a man who has exploited young people for decades get away with it.
Society is now in a position to protect and financially support anyone who comes forward with evidence.
That is why I am launching a fundraising campaign. The fundraiser will run for 10 days so that the news reaches everyone who might want to contribute. This way, we’ll know how much has been raised. Those who have evidence will see it too – and be motivated to come forward with it. Evidence that makes it clear in court who Uncle Zsolt really is.
If no one comes forward within 90 days, I will transfer the money raised to the account of one or more foundations working with child protection and victims.
Please, if it’s important to you that society finds out who Zsolt Nagyhatalmú is, help with the fundraising! If you can contribute, please do so! If you can’t, then spread the word everywhere!
The more money we raise, the better our chances of finding out the answer to the question: Who is Uncle Zsolti?
