Hi there!

This is my not-so-shameless, but super hopeful attempt at fundraising to help my little brother’s lifelong dream come true - getting him to see the Big Apple, New York City. 

These past months, while the sibling was putting all his time into completing his studies, I have made the super conscious decision to somehow become his Genie in a lamp, and grant him this all-consuming desire. Subsequently, I have been putting away every single cent of my salary that does not go into my rent, my utility bills, my food and transportation passes. I also got a second job as an English tutor to complement my “disposable” income, at the expense of the little free time I had left - not that I’m complaining, it’s just the fact. I am super dedicated to make this trip happen, and go to NYC with my little brother. 

Unfortunately for me though, times are tough, the cost of living is insanely high no matter how frugal or economical I strive to be. It also does not help my case that I come from a non-Euro currency country, and I make significant losses through currency exchanges. I am determined, and my spirit is not yet broken, but I’m going to be very honest - I do not see the light at the end of the tunnel. On days when I’m extra grumpy, I do not even see the tunnel. 

So while I continue to hustle my way through this phase of putting the financials together with honest work, I’m also going to put out this gentle plea for contributions, where every little bit will be a big step for me forwards. I want to put some magic in my sibling’s life.
