My name is Laura, and I’ve been living with vein malformation and deep vein thrombosis since birth. For years, I’ve managed my condition with daily medication - blood thinners, pain killers, vitamins —and regular medical checkups. But now, without insurance or income, I can’t afford the medicines, blood tests, or even basic pain relief. The summer heat has made things worse, and my symptoms have become unbearable. My left arm, from fingertips to neck, is constantly in pain and in a sling. I struggle to breathe, can’t move properly, and even simple tasks like making a meal or tying my hair are impossible. The pain is overwhelming, and I know that without treatment, my life is at risk... Again.

 Until recently, I had support from family and friends, but after losing my job and becoming homeless, I’ve been sleeping wherever I can. My loved ones are facing their own emergencies and can’t help any longer. I’ve tried to find work, but my disability makes it nearly impossible, and somehow I don’t qualify for government support. I haven’t eaten a proper meal in few days now, and I have no money for medication or food. I need urgent blood tests to know if I need to go to the ER, because ei probably need, but they could say I am panicking without it, when I'm not, and I need painkillers and vitamins to manage my symptoms. If I can get the help I need, I hope to regain some independence, attend job interviews, and reconnect with friends. Right now, I feel isolated and alone, but with your support, I believe I can get through this and start rebuilding my life.
