URGENT!

I fully understand that we are approaching the ‘poorest’ month of the year and that the Christmas rush and its financial fallout are upon us, but this fundraiser is born of desperation and pure, unadulterated love for my closest friend and her children.

To cut a long story short.

Jenny Ekblom Herbert, for whom this fundraiser has been set up, urgently and desperately needs to return home to Sweden to renew her Green Card.

She has been living in the US for several years now.

If she does not do this before 1 January, she risks being deported and will not be able to see her four children for ten years!

No mother or her children should have to go through this.

Jenny has been struggling for months to resolve this in various ways. No one wants to employ her because her Green Card is about to expire, and she donates plasma just to survive day to day. She is currently staying with the children’s father, which is not a long-term solution, so the risk of becoming homeless is high.

At the moment, a flight ticket home costs 6,300 SEK and the passport she needs to arrange costs 1,800 SEK.

If she manages to get home, she will arrive empty-handed with nothing but a suitcase.

She will be staying with me in Töreboda, and I am living on income support. But as the saying goes, where there’s a will, there’s a way! The most important thing now is that she makes it to Sweden.

I know time is short, but every little helps. Better to try than to give up hope!

So, if you have a spare coin to donate to help Jenny get home to Sweden to sort out a new Green Card so she can be with her children again and the children can have their mum close by, it would be deeply and lovingly appreciated.

This fundraiser is legitimate and not a scam designed to trick anyone out of their money. It is simply an act of goodwill to help a friend and a mother in need.

If we manage to do this, everything will be accounted for, and if there are any questions, we are both on Facebook to answer them.
