Baba z Wrzeszcz is a social innovation that saves textile treasures of the past. Every day we help save textiles, sewing machines, yarn and other haberdashery materials from oblivion by collecting them from people for whom they are equally important, but who will no longer use these resources themselves. Our Donors are usually other crafters who want to clear out their space or families who are sorting things out after loved ones who have passed away....

What do we do with these treasures? We pass them on to a good cause and into good hands. Your treasures go to occupational therapy workshops, to neighbourhood houses and clubs, to school sewing studios. We set them in motion, all so that this potential no longer lies useless, but can help in non-commercial, voluntary, charitable and educational activities.

The baby wagon is our distinguished volunteer, indispensable in this mission. Thanks to the wagon, we can transport sewing machines, tonnes of fabric, bags of yarn and haberdashery received from elderly ladies who are unable to deliver them themselves. It is thanks to the Babowoz that we can realise the mission of Baba of Wrzeszcz.

We will usethe proceeds from the campaign to repair the Babowoz, which supports us every day in rescuing fabric, yarn and craft tools from the cupboards and wardrobes of our mothers, grandmothers and aunties, keeping them out of the landfill. Help us Move On and continue this mission - rescuing forgotten treasures and giving them a second life so they can find a new place in someone's happy wardrobe.

Theproducts you can buy in the Move On! are more than just clothes - they are art, minimalism and attention to detail. Our designs, inspired by the atmosphere of Gdansk Wrzeszcz, are sewn in the Wrzeszcz tailoring workshop SUM SUMUS MUS in the spirit of Slow Fashion, from vintage fabrics saved from oblivion. Every seam, every stitch is a testament to the utmost care and respect for materials that have survived the years.

Sewn in the spirit of Slow Fashion - or how? Our designs are created with respect for the materials, their unique histories and with attention to every detail. We believe that fashion can be both beautiful and responsible and, above all, serve us for years.

Vintage fabrics are materials with a soul, which remember a time before the era of fast life and fast fashion. Each fabric is a unique piece of history, which we now bring back to the streets of Wrzeszcz and beyond.

Attention to every detail - for us, this is an expression of respect for the material, which deserves a second life. We create clothes with a love for minimalism, respect for resources and a passion for traditional craftsmanship.

Please note that the waiting time for the products is about 1 month, which is due to the nature of our campaign - we sew each garment to order, starting production only after receiving the funds.

We would like to loyally inform you that in case the required amount is not raised, or if the final cost of repairing the Babowagon exceeds the funds raised, we reserve the right to allocate the funds to other activities supporting the mission of Baba of Wrzeszcz.

Who are we? Three Babas: Martyna, Marylka and Hanna. Each of us comes from a different place, but it is in Wrzeszcz that we have stayed for longer. We were united by our love for this place, our passion for creating and our care for what is passing away with the older ladies - their handicraft skills, resources collected over the years and precious memories. Baba z Wrzeszcz is not just a brand - it is a story about the intermingling of history, people and places that inspire us every day.
