Her story

Simona is a fighter. A strong woman, always with a warm smile, who is now facing the hardest trial of her life. Recently, she was diagnosed with poorly cohesive gastric adenocarcinoma with ulcerated pitted ring component, ovarian metastases and bone metastases - an extremely rare and aggressive form of cancer.

Her story began in September 2024 when, following a gynaecological check-up, she was found to have an 11cm growth. This was just the beginning of a hard battle, which Simona is fighting with a smile on her lips, being an example of courage and strength for all those who are by her side. The result of the biopsy was disturbing even for the doctors, but she sees this difficult ordeal as a bump in the road that she is sure she will overcome. Her 6-year-old son Eric is Simone's main motivation!

She has currently had 8 courses of chemotherapy, 4 sessions of immunotherapy and 10 sessions of radiotherapy and has been undergoing the oncology centre since November 2024, but things have not progressed as we had hoped.

This news came as a shock to everyone who loves her, but Simo is not giving up! There is a chance of surgery and specialised treatment in a private hospital, but the costs are very high and time is not on our side.
