Hello,

My name is Jessica and I am a single mum to a 3-year-old boy.

My son is due to have an operation soon and, for at least two weeks, I will have to stay at home looking after him full-time. At the moment, despite working overtime at a restaurant, my household expenses exceed my monthly income.

I don’t have a washing machine. All the laundry is washed by hand in the bath and wrung out manually. The biggest problem is that I have nowhere to dry the clothes, which is particularly difficult with a small child who is recovering from surgery.

I tried to seek support from the local council and Caritas, but unfortunately I was unable to get any help. That is why I have set up this fundraising campaign with the aim of buying a washing machine and tumble dryer, something essential to ensure basic hygiene and comfort for my son at this very delicate time.
