My name is Ľubomír Rebro, I am 43 years old and I have been flying since I was 14 years old. This way I am trying to raise money for the development of gliding in the aeroclub Dubnica, Slávnica airport, because this sport is not funded or subsidized by the state. People who are involved in this sport usually have to pay for everything out of their own pockets.

The current situation in our region is as it is, we cannot rely on any support from the state because, as we know, there is no extra money in the budget for a sport that is not very attractive and promoted, as gliding unfortunately is. The money raised by this campaign will help the non-profit organisation of the Dubnica Aero Club, for the maintenance and perhaps the renewal of the aircraft park, for young people who are interested in flying, to fill the leisure time activities of young people who do not want to sit at home with their hands folded and have the desire to do something sensual.

If the campaign is successful and some funds are raised, even if not the whole target amount, it will be used, as I have already mentioned, for the maintenance of the gliders which costs a lot of money but the priority would be to buy a tow plane. The price of such an aircraft ranges from thirty thousand euros upwards, it is similar to a car, the higher the price the better the equipment, the more powerful the engine and therefore the more use. I firmly believe that we can support a good cause and manage to raise enough funds to buy a tow plane or to maintain the aircraft fleet in our aero club.
