Smaranda has been living a continuous fight for life for years.

She underwent a kidney transplant, lives with type 1 diabetes, is wheelchair-dependent after a stroke and is undergoing severe treatment with immunosuppressants. And now the danger is huge again.

The doctor found a lack of pulse in her left leg, a clear sign that the blood is not circulating properly, a blockage somewhere.

🔺 The biggest risk? The newly transplanted kidney might not be getting enough blood and oxygen, which would put it at serious risk of rejection, and therefore life-threatening.

In addition, in the lower left leg, any minor scratch - even a scratchy mosquito bite - turns into a wound that never heals, due to extremely low immunity and lack of blood and oxygen - low blood and oxygen flow can lead to amputation of the limb.

🔴 The surgery is scheduled for Monday at Sanador Hospital, this is because the surgery is not possible in a state hospital. The intervention will be done on a copay with a referral note.
