My name is Aleksandra, and I run a cat shelter in Suwałki – a small city near the border with Lithuania, in the far northeast corner of Poland. It’s a beautiful region, but a very hard place to rescue animals. Local support is scarce, veterinary access is limited, and the area is economically disadvantaged.

I founded the Rubik’s Cat Foundation to save abandoned, sick, and unwanted cats. We work where others don’t – because it’s too far, too hard, or simply not profitable. And yet, we do it every single day, no matter the season or weather.

Our shelter is home to dozens of cats at once. Each one needs food, treatment, warmth, and care – and all of this costs money. We survive solely thanks to donations and kind hearts.

This fundraiser is to support the basics: food, medicine, cleaning supplies, heating, electricity, and water.
