We, Ancai’s colleagues, would like to organise a fundraiser to help her improve her quality of life, which has been severely affected by a number of debilitating chronic conditions. It is becoming increasingly difficult for Ancai to keep up with her treatments, and she needs help to remove some of the aggravating factors (mould infestation in her parents’ home) so that she can continue with her treatments.

Ancai’s message:

"Dear friends,

I am asking for your help at an extremely difficult time for me. My life has been profoundly affected over the last two years by several chronic illnesses with debilitating symptoms such as multitonal tinnitus, hyperacusis, canal dehiscence, vertigo, migraines, fibromyalgia, temporomandibular and cervical arthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome and many others that have significantly affected my quality of life. In my struggle with these conditions, I was no longer able to cope on my own and was forced to move in with my parents in the countryside, in an old house where we live and where I began to develop severe allergies that did not improve even after surgery on my nasal turbinates, leading to further complications. In recent months, with the help of doctors, I discovered that my immune system is severely compromised; tests showed a reactivation of systemic infections and colonisation by toxic mould, particularly Aspergillus, which exacerbates and possibly sustains many of the symptoms I have. I have developed very severe allergic reactions and multiple chemical sensitivity, asthma and allergic urticaria, sometimes leading to anaphylactic shock, and antihistamines and corticosteroids are no longer effective due to tolerance. I have ended up sleeping outdoors to avoid exposure to the mould that sends me to hospital so often, without water, without electricity and exposed to outside noise – noise from which I must protect myself so as not to lose my hearing or suffer severe vertigo. At present, unfortunately, I can no longer even stay outdoors due to the weather. 

I need help finding sustainable solutions for where to live, especially during the winter, and how to continue with expensive therapies such as ozone therapy, infrared sauna, very expensive supplements and medicines, PRP and stem cell injections, peptides and many other recommended treatments that cost a fortune, including replacing household appliances and items affected by mould to which I react severely – the washing machine, air purifier, etc. – but I am overwhelmed by the costs and have no resources.

Although many of the effects are permanent, there is a real chance of going into remission with many conditions and achieving a life that is somewhat normal, so that I can breathe and sleep for more than two hours a night. The costs are very high, but any support, however small, matters a great deal and gives me the chance to continue fighting these debilitating chronic conditions.
