Dear donors!
It’s incredible, but we’ve raised the money for the therapy in just a few hours!
We are now closing the fundraising campaign.
A huge thank you to everyone; it’s so touching that so many of you have helped and are thinking of us!
We’ll be starting the therapy as soon as possible, and I’ll post an update on the current situation here too.
Wishing you all a lovely day – ours certainly will be!
Dorka, Marci, Matyi, Matilda

Description
In Hungarian (English version below):
My name is Dorottya Richter, I am 32 years old, a musician and mother of two young children, Matilda, aged 3, and Matyi, aged 7.

After a long period of treatment, a brain tumour was finally removed in May 2024. The operation was successful, but it left me with several after-effects: balance problems, impaired coordination in my right hand and leg, facial paralysis on the right side with loss of sensation, and hearing loss in my right ear.
At the moment, my three-year-old daughter is quicker and more agile than I am, so I cannot go out onto the street with the children without another adult. I find it difficult to climb stairs; I cannot drive, write or earn a living. I graduated from the Academy of Music in 2015 with a degree in cello; I also play the viola da gamba, but since the operation I have been unable to control my right hand, so I cannot play my instruments. This condition is very limiting and places too much of a burden on those around me.
There is a therapy that specifically targets the cerebellum, which in my case is the root of all my problems, as the tumour was located there. This therapy primarily affects balance and coordination, promoting the brain’s self-healing processes and increasing neuroplasticity. My doctors say we should go for it, because if anything will help, this will! At the moment, this therapy is only available on the other side of the world, in Canada, so just getting there is very expensive, and the treatment alone costs 6 million forints.
I’m raising money for this treatment so I can be my old self again:
Thank you so much for all your help!

My name is Dorottya Richter, I am 32 years old, a musician, and the mother of two young children: Matilda (3) and Matthias (7).
After many treatments and a previous brain operation 10 years ago, a tumour was finally removed from my brain in May 2024. The operation was successful – it removed the tumour completely – but it left me with several complications: balance issues, coordination problems in my right hand and leg, facial paralysis with loss of sensation on the right side, and hearing loss on the right side.
At the moment, my 3-year-old daughter is quicker and more agile than I am, so I cannot go out with the children alone without another adult. Stairs are difficult for me; I cannot drive, write, or earn an income. I graduated from the Liszt Academy of Music in 2015 as a cellist and also play the viola da gamba, but since the surgery, I have lost control of my right hand and can no longer play my instruments. This condition is extremely limiting and places a heavy burden on those around me.
There is a specific therapy that targets the cerebellum—which in my case is the source of all the problems, as that’s where the tumour was. This therapy focuses on balance and coordination, supports the brain’s self-healing processes, and enhances neuroplasticity. According to my doctors, we should go for it, because if anything can help, this is it!
Currently, this therapy is only available in Canada—literally on the other side of the world—so even just getting there is very expensive, and the treatment itself costs more than €25,000.
I am raising funds for this therapy, and I am deeply grateful for any support!
