Hello, my name is Francesco. I am 51 years old. I have diabetes and neuropathy in my lower limbs, andI have a serious case of macular degeneration in both eyes – particularly the left one – and am at risk of going blind. Furthermore, despite my relatively young age, I have lost all my teeth due to a hereditary condition.

A few months ago, I lost my job (costume designer and set designer).

At the start of this year, Parkinson’s took my mother (who, in the meantime, had also gone blind due to macular degeneration).

I applied to the INPS for disability benefits, but they only recognised 50% disability, so I receive nothing.

I find myself in this grotesque and absurd situation that I never thought I would experience in my life; I don’t have a penny, I need to treat my macular degeneration, I don’t want to lose my sight, and I want to keep it for as long as possible.

I’d like to see a specialist, who would then certainly refer me to a hospital, so from the second stage onwards it wouldn’t cost me too much, but the initial private consultations would

I’d like to get a decent dental implant because not having teeth at 51 is truly degrading.

I’m struggling to pay my rent, I’m struggling to support myself, and obviously I can’t find a job.

I need some support to start looking after my body properly and, as a result, improve my life

I don’t know how well this system will work, but I’m giving it a go!
