I’m Maria, 23, from Romania. I’ve been dealing with mental and physical health issues for a while, and things have been really overwhelming lately. Pluto, my horse, is the one thing that keeps me grounded. He was abused before I got him — afraid of people, slow to trust, and broken in ways no animal should ever be. I took out a loan to rescue him and give him a forever home. If I lose him now, I’m terrified he’ll end up sent to slaughter or back in another abusive situation. Mă confrunt de ceva timp cu probleme de sănătate mintală și fizică, și simt că totul e din ce în ce mai greu. Pluto, calul meu, e sprijinul meu. A fost abuzat înainte să-l iau — speriat de oameni, greu de câștigat încrederea lui, și rănit într-un mod în care niciun animal nu ar trebui să fie.
