We are currently raising funds for 5 radio stations for Radio Vesturbyggd, which is scheduled to go on air in the summer of 2026.
Transmitters will be located at the following locations.
Patreksfjordur.Talknafjordur.Bíldudalur.and 2 on Barðaströnd.
The project is a non-profit organization whose goal is to disseminate news and music from its listening area, as well as offer young and aspiring media professionals the opportunity to learn programming and media from A-Z.
The goal will be to have a visit to teach media professionals from other media outlets, both current and former.
All money raised from this fundraiser will go towards purchasing equipment for program distribution, and if the station is shut down for any reason, all of its equipment will become the property of the municipality for use for whatever purpose.
