I am 39 years old and have been struggling with bipolar disorder for years, diagnosed through numerous doctor visits and my determination to understand what’s wrong with me. It’s not an easy journey—mood swings, hot flashes, a sense of being threatened, and inner chaos have turned life into a battle. Despite my efforts to show that I care, I’ve lost jobs due to these unpredictable fluctuations. There were moments when I convinced myself I was worthless, even though others saw potential in me, even as a leader. But inside, I felt that a single trigger could make me “explode.”

Awareness of my condition is the first step, but treatment is essential to live a full life. Without medication, I can’t eat, sleep, get out of bed—simply put, I can’t live. Long-term stress and pressure have caused cluster headaches, and a year ago, I noticed my right eye drooping—a visible effect of my struggles. But the eye isn’t my biggest problem—it’s the bipolar disorder that robs me of peace and stability.

Despite everything, I keep fighting—for myself, my family, my girlfriend, and everyone I meet. I don’t have children because I’ve always feared that, with my condition, I wouldn’t be a stable support for them. Now, however, I know I must be strong and take care of my health to live and give my best.
