For more than 20 years, I worked with several pharmaceutical companies, where I designed and implemented their Quality Management Systems. In that environment, precision, consistency, and risk mitigation were not optional — they were essential to protect and improve human life. At the same time, I was deeply engaged in exploring some of the most difficult philosophical questions related to people’s well-being. This work eventually led me to develop deep Practical Wisdom frameworks that will serve as the foundation for ArkDeus, an AI Life Mentor. Just as precise procedures in pharma ensure quality, efficacy, consistency, and patient safety, these philosophical frameworks are designed to define and protect core human values such as dignity, justice, and love. They aim to safeguard the human psyche against bias, superficial empathy, emotional manipulation, and value misalignment in artificial intelligence. The stakes in developing an AI Life Mentor are arguably even higher, as we are influencing not only physical health, but also people’s relationships, sense of meaning, and emotional lives.
