Good morning everyone, I heard about Joao through friends, and his story moved me. Yesterday I finally got to speak to him, and I decided to organise this campaign.

João is a young man who lives in Porto (Portugal), and who is going through difficulties, at the moment he has no home and no family to help him. He's very polite, with no addictions, and his story moved me. He's doing everything he can to get out of this situation, but as you may know, rent prices in Portugal are high, not to mention the lack of opportunities, etc....

In fact, very shyly, he only asked me if I could help him buy a tent from décathlon that costs around 75eur, but I think that together we can do better and give him a little more comfort. The nights are cold, and comfort is never too much. I've set 2000eur as the maximum "target", because this site forces you to put a figure on it.

Bear in mind that the site doesn't charge anything for making donations, or for withdrawing the money, but when the page to enter the amount you want to donate to Joao appears, the site automatically creates a fee of 20% of the amount for them, but you can reduce this amount to 0 by dragging the bar with the percentage to 0. In my case, for example, I lowered it from 20% to 5%, which is about 1eur, on a donation of 20eur. I think it's ethically correct to give something to those who created and maintain this site, nobody likes to work for free, but that's up to you, the most important thing here is Joao.
