Description
Hello, I am a single mother of a 7-year-old girl with autism. I got divorced 5 years ago and since then I have been raising my child alone.
3 years ago Amelia, my daughter was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and since then our only income is my salary as a personal assistant, which is the minimum wage in Romania and the child's allowance.
Her father does not help us at all ... because he does not work, does not pay alimony and has not even come to see her for 5 years. It is very difficult for me to cope with her alone and lately I have tried to borrow small amounts from various places to survive.
She only benefits from 3 hours of free therapy per week, everything else is paid for. Honestly, it is very difficult for me to cope.
I wish I had the opportunity to try different therapies or at least more hours of behavioral therapy or speech therapy. She also suffers from strabismus like most children with autism. Unfortunately she can't stand glasses so the only option would be surgery. Unfortunately we can't even afford an eye exam.
Amelia is a very cheerful and affectionate little girl, she loves to sing and we have fun together doing karaoke.
Thank you to everyone who can help us! 🙏
