After years of working in various care homes and residential care facilities, I wanted to develop a facility that challenges the (misguided) notion of ‘rest’.

Older people are a vital resource, and I want to create an ‘ACTIVE CO-LIVING’ community where they can collaborate, support one another and continue to keep their skills alive!

To me, every grandparent is a “book to be read”, with their own work, interests and dreams, which I want to keep alive and make available to the younger generations.

I want to help them write the ending to their book... “AND IN THE END... THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER”.

They won’t simply be welcomed whilst we wait for them to pass away, but I’ll help them live a better life!

The aim is to open a social co-living home for the elderly in Lazio, offering 20 beds.

With light healthcare support, the facility will focus on a family-like and welcoming environment, providing basic services and social support.

The main target group is self-sufficient or partially self-sufficient elderly people who need a family-like, sociable, safe and supervised environment.

There are nursing homes and care homes, but few facilities offer social housing solutions without healthcare, which represents a competitive advantage.

Opening a social housing facility for the elderly based on the co-living model in Lazio is a viable project, given the growing demand for social housing solutions for older people.
