Description
Hello,
I am writing to you because I don’t know what to do. I have two little kittens, sisters, named Lily and Daisy. They are tiny, but playful and cheerful little balls of fur who have brought light into my life. However, I recently discovered that they both have a serious health problem.
Both were born with a congenital heart defect. Lily’s condition is worse; she suffers from a patent ductus arteriosus, a condition where the vessel connecting the pulmonary artery and the aorta fails to close after birth. In practice, this means that too much blood is flowing into her lungs, putting her at risk of heart failure. Her only chance is an operation to close this vessel. According to the vet, the cost would be around 15,000 CZK.
Her sister Daisy has a different condition: a ventricular septal defect, which is a hole in the wall between the heart’s ventricles. This causes oxygenated and deoxygenated blood to mix, leading to fatigue and shortness of breath. Her condition is not acute, but if the defect is not repaired, her heart will deteriorate. Her operation should cost approximately 10,000 CZK.
In total, we would need 25,000 CZK for both operations. For me, however, this is an astronomical sum. I do have some savings, but they are not enough. Both cats deserve to live a long and happy life free from pain. Even now, they struggle to breathe after just a few minutes of play, and that breaks my heart.
Please help me save Lily and Daisy. Every penny counts. Thank you for any help and support.
