I am making this request today because we are in a really difficult situation.

We bought a house (with a mortgage), which involved a very long process (it was very difficult to get the mortgage).

After weeks and months of waiting, our mortgage was finally approved and we were able to buy our house. We didn’t have much spare cash for any potential renovation work, so we looked for a house that didn’t need any work done.

We finally moved in, and then disaster struck… nothing worked.

No heating, no hot water; we had to fix it ourselves at a cost of €950 (invoice provided).

There was a pellet stove that was supposed to work… bad news, it was broken.

We had temperatures of 7 degrees for two months, and no one could help us.

The bathroom heating still doesn’t work despite the engineer’s repairs; it’s impossible to heat it because there’s no insulation.

Then, the previous owners left us a rubbish tip in the garden, which we had to clear away at our own expense again! (I have photos as proof).

Several things weren’t working: the hob, the oven, the bathroom ventilation (damp), the electrics which we had to get fixed by an electrician (again at our own expense), a leak in the wall, and so on…

Our savings have gone down the drain; we thought we’d be in the clear, and now more bad news has come to light.

Someone crashed into my parked car and drove off; I can only be reimbursed for the wreck (€1,250), I no longer have a car and my loan application can’t be approved (we’d already had trouble with the house).

My husband and I both work (on permanent contracts), but we can’t make ends meet because we always have unexpected costs to cover. What’s more, it’s difficult without a car; for the time being, I have a replacement car until 10 February.

This money would be used, on the one hand, to buy a car and, on the other, to set aside for any potential household expenses.

I can provide all the necessary evidence.
