Maya has cancer. Together we can save her!

Maya is a 12-year-old mixed-breed dog, rescued by my grandfather when she was just a frightened puppy. She grew up with us, full of love and gratitude. Now, her life is in danger: on 29 April 2025, she was diagnosed with perianal gland adenocarcinoma – an extremely painful and aggressive form of cancer.

Maya is suffering from severe lethargy, loss of appetite, vomiting, severe pain and obvious difficulty passing stools, and the tumour is already causing mechanical obstruction in the colon. Unfortunately, her condition could deteriorate rapidly without intervention.

What needs to be done urgently:

Surgery to remove the tumour: 2,500 lei

Inhalation anaesthesia + intraoperative monitoring: 900 lei

Pre-operative tests and investigations (blood tests, ultrasounds, cardiology, X-rays, etc.): between 1,000 and 2,300 lei, depending on the results

Possible post-operative hospitalisation, oncological therapy or chemotherapy

Estimated total: 4,500 – 6,000 lei

This is only the first stage in Maya’s fight for life.
