Description

We are a family from Calarasi with a 9-year-old boy. He has been diagnosed with hyperkinetic disorder associated with moderate intellectual disability and motor stereotypies.

We started intensive therapies across all areas – from ABA and speech therapy to sensory integration and physiotherapy. We worked hard and made sacrifices

The first direct eye contact. The first words. The first moments when Andrei began to connect with the world.

Every step was a victory. The years passed with thousands of hours of work, sleepless nights and tears. But also with smiles that melted away the fatigue. With the belief that somewhere, beyond his silence, Andreihad a whole world to offer.

Last year, when Andrei was 8, we found out about a possibility:autologous stem cell therapy. It wasn’t easy for us to decide, but we knew he had to try everything possible. We made sacrifices, we saved money, we sought advice, we hoped, and we went ahead with the first treatment.

After the treatment, miracles didn’t happen overnight. But, little by little, something changed. Andrei began to be more present. He started laughing wholeheartedly. He has made real progress in social integration and school activities. He has a real chance at a better life.

He still faces challenges, buthe is no longer the quiet little boy he once was. He is a child with extraordinary willpower, a big heart, and us, his parents, who have never stopped believing in him.

Andrei is living proof thatlove, courage and hope can turn the impossible into reality. And we, his parents, are silent heroes, who have fought our battle with rare dignity, day after day.

And, most importantly, the light in Andrei’s eyes now shines brighter than ever.

Now, Andrei needs a second round of stem cell therapy – a new procedure in the autumn (November). The cost is €12,000.This is a critical moment, where the procedure could lead to significant and lasting progress. But WE, his parents, can no longer cover the full costs; the procedure is scheduled for November 2025.

I, his mother, believe in Andrei; I have watched him grow, facing obstacles and learning. He is a child with immense potential, and his progress deserves our support.

Be part of this story of hope.

Thank you on behalf of a family that has never stopped hoping.

And on behalf of a little boy, my little boy, who is learning, day by day, how to conquer the world.
