Description

Over the past two months, we’ve walked from the coast of India to Mount Everest in Nepal. Along the way, I’ve met an incredible number of inspiring people, but time and again I’ve also come across children growing up in circumstances that offer them very few opportunities.

Many of them want to learn, dream and make something of their lives – but they simply have little or no access to education because they were born into difficult circumstances.

And that’s exactly where we want to help :)

Education is the most powerful way out of poverty.

Education creates opportunities.

Education changes lives.

With this fundraising campaign, we want to invest together in two projects that give children in India and Nepal real access to education – through school supplies, learning programmes, support or local educational initiatives.

Every contribution, no matter how big or small, directly helps to open up a better future for a child. But please only give if you really can :)

Let’s give something back to these incredibly hospitable countries, which have made this story possible in the first place over the last two months:

For the children growing up there. For their future.

50% of the donations will go to “Friends of Himalayan Children”, an NGO in Batase, Nepal. On my trek to Everest, I met the wonderful Naba, an incredibly kind guide who volunteers for this organisation. Money is urgently needed right now to build accommodation so that more children in this remote area can go to school and sleep there on site. There are some absolutely brilliant people working here, and we’d love to visit them in 2026 to show you where your donations are going and what an impact they’re having :)

The other 50% goes to the Indian ‘Hope Foundation’ in Kolkata. I came across this organisation through my guide in Kolkata at the time, Mayukh – an incredibly honest and positive chap who showed me around the city back then and gave me a deep insight into life there. He recommended the Hope Foundation to me because they have been working locally for many years with children growing up in particularly difficult circumstances.

Thank you for being part of all this and for helping out whenever you can :)
