For my son.
For my son.

Description
My name is Ondřej Šafár, I’m the dad of little Ondrášek, and I’m writing this story with a lump in my throat, but with the belief that there is still goodness in the world.
I’m just an ordinary bloke. My hands are calloused from hard work – I make a living assembling shelving, tearing down roofs, restoring graves… and now I’m trying to set up my own business so I can spend more time with my son and not be constantly on the road.
Ondrášek is everything to me. He’s a boy with a sparkle in his eyes who makes me want to be a better version of myself every day. When I come home tired, he gives me a hug and says, ‘Dad, are we going to build something today?’ And that always gets to me.
My dream is to build a small workshop or shed next to the house where I could make simple furniture, fix things, teach Ondra to work with his hands… and, above all, be with him.
I don’t want luxury. Just a place where we can be together. Where there’s a hammer instead of TikTok. Where I can teach him that if you build something with your heart, it will last a lifetime.
That’s why I’m launching this fundraiser. It will help me get the materials and tools I need to turn this dream into reality for the two of us.
If you decide to contribute, thank you. And if you can’t – perhaps just share this. That too has great power.
With humility,
Ondřej (and Ondrášek)
