Description
I am 66 years old and am facing eviction from the home where I have lived for 26 years with my husband, who had the house transferred into his parents’ name as an inheritance. He suffered from cancer for 11 years before passing away; I was the only one who took care of everything, providing care for 10 years and accompanying him constantly whenever he had to be hospitalised, with admissions occurring every 3 or 6 months. My stepdaughter, who owns three-quarters of the property, wants €45,000 for her share, to be paid within a year and a half – money I do not have and would have no way of obtaining. Following my husband’s illness and death, I am already in debt, and I should mention that I have nowhere else to go. She tells me she would give me €15,000 for my share, but I cannot buy anything with €15,000. Due to the stress, I have also suffered a heart attack and had a stent fitted. I am truly desperate because I do not know how to get out of this situation.
