I’d like to briefly share our story.

💖 To Szofi – The Tale of the Little Hair

Once upon a time, there was a little girl whose strands of hair were tiny fairies. Every single strand was a cheerful little fairy who danced in the wind and laughed when her hair was brushed.

One day, however, the little girl was given a very powerful potion to drive away the evil goblins inside her body. The hair fairies knew they had to rest now to help her heal.

‘Don’t be afraid,’ they said, ‘we’re going away for a little while, but we’ll come back even stronger.

The little girl replied: “I’ll be waiting for you. I’ll be brave until then.”

And her mum didn’t leave her alone either... together they set off again on this difficult journey.

Because true beauty lies not in the hair, but in the heart. 💖

My name is Mónika Balogh, and I am the mother of a 10-year-old girl.

My little girl, Szofi, has been diagnosed with Ewing’s sarcoma, a rare and serious form of cancer. Her treatment has been going on for many months; she has undergone chemotherapy, and we are currently travelling to Wiener Neustadt in Austria for proton therapy.

Because of the treatments, we have to travel every week, which is very demanding both physically and financially. The travel costs alone are significant on a weekly basis, and on top of that there are further expenses.

We have now used up all our savings, but we are still doing everything we can to ensure that Szofi has every chance of recovery.

That is why we are now asking for help.

Every single donation – no matter how small – is a huge help to us in covering the costs of travel and treatment.
