Description

I’ve never been angry with the animal world, but with the human world.

That was the case every time I saw a dog on a rusty chain, a ‘member of the family’ who, in the summer, instead of going on holiday, was thrown out of a car window like rubbish that nobody wanted. Faced with a stray cat kicked in the street by people for their amusement, or a horse that, in gratitude for years of hard work, was being driven towards the slaughterhouse instead of a green meadow.

I never really understood why this was the case, and although I love and respect animals, I have often felt a sense of helplessness and injustice that we, as humans, have brought such a fate upon them.

I know I have never been alone in this belief.

I dream, and I’m not afraid to dream of a world that will look completely different. However, this world requires a huge amount of work from all of us, right from the start, from the ground up.

Introducing ZWIERZOBUS, a gigantic 14-metre vehicle, the first of its kind in Poland, and perhaps even in the world, capable of reaching every corner of Poland. A vehicle that will be able to carry out castrations, spaying, vaccinations, microchipping (with registration), as well as basic veterinary diagnostics on board. Equipped with the necessary equipment, along with vets, volunteers and a driver, it will be a true first-aid hospital for animals. Best of all, visits and treatments in the Zwierzobus will be free of charge, because the Zwierzobus isn’t meant to make a profit, but to raise awareness among our society that animals need care. Can you imagine us declaring a particular month as ‘the month of microchipping a thousand animals’ and hitting the road?

That’s not all, because, of course, what you’ve read is vital for preventing the growing problem of animal homelessness, but ZWIERZOBUS is also a massive educational tool. Equipped on the outside with a screen several metres wide and a projector, it will be able to visit every educational institution in Poland and finally present children with real lessons in respect for animals, tailored to their age, rather than nature lessons where the task is to colour in a dog whilst ‘that very same dog’ is being tortured online. The world has changed, and so must education. Its crew will be qualified to teach not only children but also adults, including the police and municipal police, so that they have full knowledge of how to act during an intervention when an animal is suffering.

The Animal Bus could turn up anywhere – at town festivals, car parks by shopping centres or outside animal shelters. It’s actually you who will decide its route. Its rear window will be ‘replaceable’; that’s where notices about dogs looking for a home will appear!

The costs are enormous, running into millions, which is why we’re launching a Zwierzogrania fundraising campaign today.

We have until 18 May, when the grand finale will take place. We’re really counting on your support; without you, this will never succeed.

My dream is to set off on a journey across Poland in the Zwierzobus and change the world of animals for the better. I invite you all on board.
